Even though today was noted as a rest day we still had a 5 hour drive to get to Tampere.
It was a lovely albeit uneventful trip from Savonlinna. We did cross the Kärkinen Bridge, a composite cable-stayed bridge located in Korpilahti, Jyväskylä.
The nearly 800m long bridge replaced a ferry trip that was plagued with congestion issues for locals in 1997.
By the time we got to the hotel the rain had set in, it was a perfect opportunity to enjoy some great wine, watch a movie and recharge.
