The “Cube” is always the first thing we pack whether it be for a day trip, weekend away or a long term holiday/adventure.
The concept of the cube is to enable quick and easy access to our coffee making facilities. We are black coffee lovers. Of course you can pack your cube to suit your preferences – tea, hot chocolate, chai etc.
Our cube contains a 12 volt kettle, coffee, plunger mugs, tea spoon, tea towel and a drink bottle that has enough water to make 2 1/2 cups. Why the 1/2 you ask, to give the plunger mugs a quick clean.
Whether we’re at home in Melbourne or travelling we always have a 5-10L water container in the boot of our car. It’s a great way to ensure you can quickly fill up water bottles, have a coffee or be able to clean something both sustainably and economically.
As you can see from the photos below, the cube has allowed us to enjoy a rest break in some amazing locations.
It’s also a very good way to save money when you’re on a longer holiday, we bring our favourite coffee from home and using our plunger mugs we have cafe quality coffee every time.
